Customer thank you card and gift

As I have mentioned before, I love to spoil my team and my customers. For all orders placed through me I love to send a card and a small gift. And I love to try and come up with different ways to gift wrap them too!

For July's thank you gift I knew I wanted to use the gold striped treat bags so I went with a gold and white theme with a touch of colour (tranquil tide and basic black)

For the card I used our notecards - perfectly sized for a small note of thanks. The birdcage and sentiment come from the Badges and Banner set. The metallic foil doilies provided a nice base over the Timeless Textures floral leaf. The black die cut bird comes from the Birds and Blooms thinlits.

The 'enjoy your day' sentiment also comes from the Badges and Banners set. A bit of ribbon, sequin trim and a clip and the gift was done!

These bags are great to have in your stash for quick gift wrapping. With the Holiday season approaching fast you can whip up some of these in no time at all!

Paper Clutch Bag with some new Holiday sneak peeks!

I have been itching for a while now to just have a few hours where I can just play with ideas, new products and make some samples. There is so much inspiration on pinterest, facebook and the blogs I follow that I have a constant list of things to try out for myself.

So this past weekend I made some time to just play. This clutch bag was on the top of my list - what a gorgeous way to gift a small bottle of wine, perfume, body cream etc. I followed the instructions from Linda Parker HERE  I can see me making alot more of these for teachers and friends for all sorts of occasions.

This bag showcases some of the gorgeous new paper and embellishments in the new Holiday Catalogue which you can order from as of Friday 1st September. This paper is called Year of Cheer Speciality Designer Series Paper. It has the most gorgeous foil colours and prints - silver, gold and champagne. These papers are slightly thicker than the usual papers and also plain on one side making them perfect for 3D projects like these. The foil snowflakes are beautiful - they come in both gold and silver. They are a light vanilla on the back so you can colour them if you desire.

I wanted to see what the bag would look like using the Foil Frenzy Designer series papers. so here is a creation in Tangerine Tango. I originally made the base in Tangerine too but thought it was a bit too much so I opted for the kraft instead which wasn't so overpowering. I think the gold snowflake matches perfectly!

What do you think? I am now keen to make them in all the foil colours - a girl can never have too many handbags right?!?!

New Holiday Catalogue sneak peaks

The new Holiday catalogues have been sent, please let me know if you haven't received yours, believe me you dont want to miss out!

Not on my mailing list? Email me and I will get one to you ASAP.

I have been having loads of fun playing with some of the new items from the Holiday Catalogue. One of the perks of being a demonstrator is being able to place a pre-order (or two in my case :) ) There are loads of samples being posted on social media and my wish list keeps growing!

One of the most exciting thing for me is all the packaging and embellishments. Mini pizza boxes, clear acetate card boxes, treat tubes and more.

I made some cute Christmas tags to send with my catalogues. These papers and stamps come from a new Mega Suite called Merry Little Christmas. There are two stamp sets, thinlits, punch, two packs of designer series papers and adorable coordinating accessories to match. Wow!

I have always loved how Stampin' Up takes the guess work out of matching colours, accessories and images. The colour coordination is one of the main reasons I fell in love with the company and the products all those years ago!

Class cards using the new embossing paste

A few weeks ago now I mentioned that I had been playing with the new embossing paste. I had heaps of pieces of embossed cardstock but hadn't made them into cards until now. Sometimes it's just nice to play even if you don't have a specific end product to blog about!

I've been waiting to share the paste with my class ladies and this is what we made last week. We had alot of fun just playing with different stencils, colours and inks.

I did get them to make some cards too!

This first card we used Flirty Flamingo cardstock and reinker to create a subtle yet effective background. The ever popular Daisy punch and the sentiment is from Garden in Bloom.

The clouds we left in the natural, white embossing paste. I love the powdery, fluffy clouds and the colourful balloons make the card suitable for all ages and gender!

Paper Adventures Blog Hop

Hello everyone, I was honored to be asked again to participate as a guest designer in the Paper Adventure team blog hop - thank you Kelly!

This time the theme is "Hostess Sets" which are on pages 220-223 of the annual catalogue. These sets can only be ordered with stampin' rewards which are the incentives you earn with any order over $250. You don't need to host a party to get this awesome deal, you can either place a $250 order yourself or gather a few orders from friends and pool them together.

It was an easy choice for me, I picked In the City (143771) This is a photopolymer set with a whopping 60 stamps! There are so many options in this set for a huge variety of occasions.

I have been playing around with this set making little scenes with the houses and buildings and then adding the cars and trees! But what I wanted to try was the sample card in the annual catalogue (page 222). I was drawn to the simplicity of it and I love the grey with a pop of colour. I also needed a card for my Dad for his birthday so this card was the outcome.

Because the stamps are photopolymer they are super easy to see where to place them but I still found the best way to stamp the row of houses was the put them all on a clear block together and stamp. It was a little less fiddly and less room for error!

The fireworks are super fun, I stamped them in basic black and then coloured them with my watercolor pencils and added a rhinestone. I also added colour to the houses for a bit of interest.

You can just see on the final photo that I stamped a row of orange cars inside for an added little bit of interest.

Next on the on the hop is the gorgeous Mandy Depiazzi  HERE

Please make sure you click on the link to see all the other Paper Adventure team member's blogs and facebook pages. They are a very talented bunch!

Team recognition card

A few weeks ago one of my team members, Kylie hit a big Stampin' Up! milestone - she promoted to a new title called Bronze Elite. To celebrate I wanted to make a handmade card in bronze colours. I also sent her a little gift.

It was hard to get a good picture in this rainy, overcast weather and not catch the glare! It's really shiny in real life.

I reached for the copper foil sheets and and went from there. I used crumb cake as my base, added some copper foil, layered it with a piece of retired patterned window sheet. I then added the daisy and the congrats die from the sunshine wishes thinlits dies.

I thought the vanilla lace trim added some nice texture and gave it a bit of a vintage look.

I love to spoil my team especially when they reach milestones they have been working hard towards. Would you like to join my team? For $169 you can choose $235 worth of product including business supplies and free postage! All future purchases are 20% off. Find out all about it Here

There is no hard sell, no pressure to hold classes or workshops, it's totally up to you. You can sign up just for the discount and that's totally ok! Please contact me if you have any questions.

And congratulations again Kylie!!

Carols of Christmas and a free PDF tutorial bundle

The Carols of Christmas is fast becoming one of my all time favourites! I love the bold sentiments and the numerous combinations of framelits.

Today's  card is quite simple making it ideal for mass production. Is that what you do at Christmas time? I do, I find I seem to run out of time to make each card different. I make a few extra special ones but the majority are all the same. I just mix up the colours a bit.

Which makes me think I had better get started!

I have kept the card to Tranquil Tide and white with a pop of the Lemon Lime Twist and the little Reindeer. Using the Holly embossing folder adds depth to the background.

BONUS OFFER
As a special offer for this month anyone who orders this bundle from me will receive a FREE PDF tutorial bundle with all the instructions to make 5 cards and a tag.

The new Holiday catalogue is winging its way to me as we speak and it still staggers me that Stampin' Up! keep  coming up with new and fabulous stamps, accessories and embellishments

I have placed my pre-order (one of the MANY perks of being a demonstrator.) and I am waiting for my new goodies to arrive. I'll be sharing samples as soon as I can.
