By the Bay

A very tranquil card for you today highlighting a free sale-a-bration set that might not have caught your eye at first.

The seaside embossing folder creates beautiful soft waves on the coastal cabana cardstock and I think it looks really striking against the black.

I stamped the image in memento black ink then softly coloured it with a couple of colours of blends markers.

The black shimmer ribbon has a lovely silvery fleck in it and he little bow is from the tea room ribbon combo pack.

I have left this card without a sentiment on purpose but I think it would suit a variety of occasions - thinking of you, sympathy, masculine birthday card.

Make sure you get your hands on this set by Sunday before it disappears for good!

Fun Retro Birthday!

March and April are super busy birthday months for our family - and most of them are male!

I always seem to struggle a bit with making so many male cards at the same time - and a few are in the same family so I can't even cheat and make the same card for them all!!

This card is for one of my teenage nephews. I love this fun stereo image from the Free Cake stamp set. Trying to steer away from the more classic masculine colours I went with Coastal Cabana for a bight of fun.

The layering circles and rectangles make assembly of this card nice and quick.

Remember sale-a-bration ends this weekend and all orders this week go into the draw to win a hostess stamp set.

Birthday Wishes - exclusive More than Words stamp set.

For today's cards I wanted to showcase the limited time More than Words stamp set.

This is a fantastic word set that covers just about every event - birthday, new years, Christmas, thank you and more. At $30 AUD I think it is very well priced too and one of those sets that I will keep coming back to again and again.

This stamp set is part of the sale-a-bration coordination and is only available until Sunday 31st March.

I have made two cards with the same layout but different designer series papers to show you how easily you can use the same stamp set and create two quite different results.

Even the colour of inks I have used a very similar.

For the first card I have used the FREE Painted Seasons designer series paper. The sentiment is stamped with Grapefruit Grove and poppy Parade then layered onto a poppy parade card base. The textured layer is embossed with my all time favourite Subtles embossing folder.

The second card is made using the Happiness Blooms designer series paper on Night of Navy cardstock. For this card I left the background plain to showcase the dsp.

Adding dimensionals to the sentiment layer makes it pop more too.

Sending love and a cup of tea!

I am sending lots of love to you today with my sweet little notecard complete with tea cup and flowers.

This sweet teacup card is made using the Tea Together stamp set from the Occasions Catalogue (page 49). And until the end of March you can earn the coordinating Tea Time Framelits with a $180 order. Sure saves me a lot of fussy cutting of flowers and teacups!

The card came together from one I saw on pinterest. It reminded me to use my stash of notecards. They are the perfect size for a sweet little note and come with their own envelope too.The rectangle stitched framelits make a nice mat to the card to add my layers to.

The flowers were coloured with the blends pens. And the tea cup itself it actually die cut from one of the Delightfully Detailed notecards. These have a gorgeous watercolour wash which I thought gave a nice softness to the teacup.   The flowers have a touch of wink of stella pen for an added sparkle.

Make sure you place your order by 31st March if you want to earn the FREE Tea Time framelits. Click on any of the images below to head over to my online store.

This week 25th March - 31st March as an added bonus, for anyone who places an order with me will go into the draw to win a free an exclusive hostess stamp set - Hand Delivered.

All orders will be entered into the draw and I will randomly choose the winner on April 1st (no joke!)

*please note that this offer is only through me - Melissa Gifford,  not through Stampin' Up!
