Onstage Live Auckland 2019 Swaps - version 1

This card was one of my two swap designs I made to take to Auckland. This is the sugar free version as the other one contained chocolate.

I stamped and coloured the tree rings background stamp (so sad it's retiring) with a variety of blends then die cut the heart shape. The rest of the card is very much 'me' at the moment - a variety of my all time favourites - bermuda bay cardstock, stitched rectangle dies and bling!

There are a few items used on this card that are retiring and stocks are running low so get in quick before you miss out!

Onstage Live Auckland 2019 Summary

Wow, what an amazing few weeks I have had. My head is still spinning! So this post might not be terribly articulate but here goes! Perhaps I will let the photos do the talking!!  I have shared most of these photos on my facebook page already.

First of all was the venue - the Sky Tower in Auckland. What a beautiful city. I have been before with my family about 8 years ago but we didn't spend a lot of time in Auckland. This time I stayed in the heart of the city at the venue which was so central. I was on the 18th floor so had amazing views (the first photo wasn't my view but it's still pretty spectacular)

Why thank you - don't mind if I do!! AND they refilled it every day for me :)

One of the main reasons I attend these events is for the friendships - each time I go I reconnect with old friends and make heaps of new ones too! I got to hang out with 600 of my favourite people for 3 whole days!!

Traditional Maori welcome

My team members and a few adopted friends

Prize Patrol winners!

My gorgeous team leader Marelle Taylor

I finally got to meet this gorgeous lady in person after chatting online for ages - miss you my sweet friend!

These were some of the Kiwi girls - they made us all lolly bags with all the New Zealand treats. So much fun and so yummy too!

Dinner at the War Memorial and Museum.

And then there are the gifts we receive......

New catalogue anyone???

And then..................

I had to keep a VERY big secret from you. I was honoured to have been asked to present a brand new stamp set and dies whilst in Auckland. This involved me getting new products a few months ago, making samples, preparing a speech and then doing it all live in front of 600 friends - oh and the CEO Sara and her mum Shelli, the co-founder of Stampin' Up!

No pressure right!?

And because it was all top secret I couldn’t tell anyone what I was doing and it was soooo hard to keep a secret. No one knew until they announced my name and I came on stage!

I am really proud of myself for stepping wwaaayy out of my comfort zone and doing this. I never would have contemplated this even a few years ago and I was surprised how calm I felt whilst up there.

Me on one of the two big screens - yikes!!

It was recorded by fellow demonstrator Kylie Bertucci and her husband Bruno. This is the best version I have at the moment. The video is long (but awesome to watch if you have time) so if you want to see me fast forward to the 52 minute mark.

These are some of the samples I made - I will blog them in more detail over the coming weeks.

Phew, this post has taken me a while and I still have more to share including my huge stash of swaps and gifts. I'll post those next week for you.

Onstage gifts - Kylie and Bruno

I made some special gifts to take to Auckland for some friends. This one was for Bruno Bertucci, the husband of Kylie. He has a bit of an addiction to stampin dimensionals so I knew I had to make a cute little pocket for a packet of them.

I found this project quite a while ago now so I cannot remember who to give credit to. If you know who please will you let me know?

The design is simple - it uses the envelope punch board and a piece of designer series paper measuring 10.5" x 10.5". Using the scoring measurements on your envelope punch board you simply make a large envelope - 4.5' x 8.5'

Fold and glue the envelope shut (you might need to trim a little off the top to make it flush) then cut the envelope in half and you have 2 pockets to fill with all sorts of goodies.

I then made a simple belly band with the left over designer series paper and decorated both with the Geared Up Garage stamp set.

I stamped the images onto various die cut shapes and adhered them together.

These would make fun gifts for class attendees or for your team don't you think?

Yay - FREE CAKE!!

Ha! I love this sentiment and it was just the perfect card for my nephew - he loves cake! (actually he loves all food really like any sports mad, growing boy!!) We got to celebrate with his favourite caramel mud cake - yum!

This sentiment comes from the Free Cake stamp set.  I stamped in black memento so I could colour the layers of the cakes with my blends.

I added some fun polka dots with a layer of designer series paper.
