Hello friends and welcome to Kelly's Stamping Friends Birthday Hop! Thanks for stopping by.
This week it's all about my gorgeous friend Kelly Kent - a super talented paper crafter, and sweet friend. A few years ago Kelly started a tradition of a blog hop for her birthday and it has now become an annual event!
So Happiest of Birthdays to you Kelly!!
My card is one I had to case as soon as I saw it. It was created by Stesha Bloodhart (who also gave credit to Patty Bennett) I was super excited to see that she had a detailed post which included instructions on how she made her card. That made my life a bit easier this week as my desk time has been limited after hurting my back!
I had been playing with brand new product and I have been looking for ideas to showcase the stunning new designer series paper called Mosaic Mood which I was lucky enough to receive as a gift at Onstage in Auckland last month.
The paper is so nice to work with. One side is glossy and the patterns are lush! It has that mosaic tile look and feel to it.
There was a fair bit of fussy cutting out the birds, flowers and butterfly from the designer series paper. It's not something I do a lot of but for this card I did! The layers help add dimension to the card along with numerous stampin dimensionals!!
I didn't have any of the wooden pieces that were on the original card and I played around with a few ideas but ended up just leaving the card as is.
The sentiments come from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set.
Next up on the blog hop is Rachael Lewsley. Click on the 'next' button to see her creation.
