Santa Gifts for the teenagers

As my nieces and nephews are getting older now they usually ask for cash for Christmas so they can put it towards something they have their eyes on.

But I am always looking for a fun, creative way to give it to them so it is more than just a card with cash.

I found these super cute mini stockings and knew I could do lots with these!

The stockings have a cord attached so I just put it over a bottle of coke. Inside each stockings is a small tube of mini M&Ms wrapped in cash!

If you are gifting these for adults you could add a small bottle of alcohol to mix with the coke :)

A sweet handmade tag and some cello and ribbon and the gifts were done - I am so pleased with the result!

3D Frame - home decor

Hi, this is one of the gifts I made this year that I can share now that it has been received!

It was simple to make, I purchased a frame from Kmart then added some decal stickers (purchased online).

I knew my hairdresser has the same logo for her blog as mine and I was so excited to see that there is a brand new pack of designer series paper coming soon called Tropical Oasis so I was able to use the beautiful Monstera leaf design. Gorgeous!

I also could not resist decorating a small wooden initial to match!

I love being able to personalise my gifts - to me it make it much more special.

What 3D projects have you been making lately?

Christmas packaging - friends make the season shine

I am looking for packaging ideas at the moment for all the small gifts I am giving. I still have a stash of these retired silver gable boxes so I came up with this.

The paper is from the Feel like Frost pack and I have used the silver and white side to match the box. I then added the elegant sentiment from the Making Christmas Bright stamped in silver ink, die cut and some added bling and the box was complete.

Quick and easy!

Brightly Gleaming for Christmas

Brightly Gleaming would have to be one of my most used stamp sets this Christmas. I just love the ornaments (with matching punches) and the papers are just so lush.

This is one of the cards I made in bulk for family and friends.

It is quick and easy using the papers, punch and a small sentiment. I like to make my bulk cards in a production line style so I can have all the pieces ready to go which makes assembly quick (well until I ran out of snail but that's a whole other story!!)

How do you make your Christmas cards? Is each one different? Are they all the same?

Thinking of You at Christmas

I love using blue, white and silver for Christmas cards. To me it is classic, clean and elegant.

This card features the Feels Like Frost designer series paper - and on this card I have used both sides! One has the most stunning photography and the other is embossed silver and white.

I used this card as my inspiration point and for the layout but adapted it to suit the stamp sets I have.

For the leaves I used Peaceful Boughs dies to add some texture using balmy blue, night of navy and silver.

The addition of the seaside spray ribbon also adds a little something too!

Pressed Petals Journal - gift ideas

I have had been having fun creating handmade gift for friends and family for Christmas. The Pressed Petal Journals are the perfect choice for a more personalised gift. The cover is embossed and the inside pages are all decorated with lined pages, subtle flowers and beautiful sayings.

Here I have used the beautiful, large magnolia from the Good Morning Magnolia set, layered with a variety of DSP. lace ribbon and a base of early espresso cardstock. Inspired from Pinterest!

You could wrap these gifts with a journalling pen or gift on it's own. Either way it is a lovely gift to show someone you care.

Christmas Wreath - Tidings All Around

Hello everyone!

Please accept my apologies for my brief, totally unexpected break from blogging. My DH has been very unwell and has spent the last 2 weeks in and out of hospital. He is slowly on the mend now but still requiring daily visits from the nurse for the next week at least.

I needed to let some things go and my blog was one of them. This time of year is busy enough without illness too!

Today's card is one we completed in class last few weeks. It uses the Tidings All Around.

It was quite simple to put together as the dies make easy work of the shapes.

We did stamp the leaves randomly on the lighter wreath (mint macaron) to add a bit of texture.

Why not give it a try yourself, this wreath has so many uses.
