Today I am super excited to be participating in the very first StampingPals challenge. Here is a brief intro
ABOUT US
Welcome to StampingPals, a place where stamping friends get together and challenge and inspire each other!
Back in the late 1990s, early 2000’s, Kylie joined a yahoo group called StampingPals which was started by a talented stamper called Edie Marsh. She quickly became friends with the other members of the group and this friendship has continued to this day. When the idea struck to start a challenge blog, Kylie immediately turned to past members of this group – Melissa and Jill – to see if they would like to be part of it with her. Both Melissa and Jill still stamp (and we are all now Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators). They were keen to participate. (You can read more about each of us, and our Stampin’ Up! businesses, on the Design Team page). There is also another silent member of the group – Jo-Ann. Jo-Ann provides endless support and encouragement and maybe, if we are lucky, she will join in on the challenges every now and again.
When thinking about what to call the blog, StampingPals seemed like the logical choice. We’ve been friends for a long time and stamping brought us together. We hope this challenge blog will not only inspire you creatively but possibly bring new people and friendships into your life.
Our Goals for the StampingPals Challenge blog
- To Inspire each other
- To create
- To share what we love
- To have fun
- To meet new People
- To encourage each other
I always go on about how much I love the friendships I have made throughout my many years crafting. And this is especially true of these ladies! I love how technology brought us together and now our Stampin' Up! businesses have kept us in each other's lives even thought we are miles apart.
Here is my card for this challenge. I made a clean and simple card with one of the brand new sale-a-bration items available to earn fro FREE starting 3rd March 2020.
This stamp set is called Tags in Bloom and co-ordinates with both the label my fancy and label me lovely punches in the 2020 Mini Catalogue. For this card I have used the punch to add the sentiment so I could use dimensionals to add a layer to my card.
I also added the smaller flower to the bottom to balance it out. A liberal dose of wink of stella over the top adds a real shimmer.
I coloured the flowers and leaves with my stamp and write markers to ensure I used all the challenge colours! (brights collection)
