Tropical Class Treats

I made these fun treats for a class a while back and recently made more as little thank you gifts.

Super quick and simple. They are mini wagon wheel biscuits. I simply added the punched layers of cardstock and designer series paper, trying to match the colours in the packaging.

The pineapple die made cutting the image quick and easy! I simply stamped in pear pizzazz and coloured the fruit with blends.

A quick and fun way to add a little something to a little treat!

Birthday Wishes - Poppies meets All Dressed up!

I am showcasing the painted poppies in a different colourway today, taking the colours from a piece of the Best Dressed designer series paper.

I have stamped the poppies in memento black then die cut them. I have used sponge daubers inked with mint macaron, purple posy and pretty peacock. Afterwards I have gone over the flowers liberally with my wink of stella pen for a little sparkle.

The sentiment is stamped onto purple posy cardstock and cut with one of the dressed to impress dies as I wanted to co-ordinate the stitched border with the circle die.

Happy Birthday Mum - Explosion box using Dressed to Impress bundle

I realised that I had forgotten to share a special explosion box I made for my Mum's birthday back in March - when I could still see her in person!

My mum is one of my biggest cheerleaders and always loves what I make for her.

This box idea I found HERE - the instructions are easy to follow but the trick with these is to make sure that everything is measured well so it closes well and the lids stay on!

I think the stand out feature of this project is the Best Dressed designer series papers - the floral patterns are so pretty and there are a huge range of patterns to choose from.

Inside each box I added a ferrero rocher - my mum's favourite chocolates.

Why not give this a try? They are fun to make and really have that WOW factor that your recipient will love.

Sympathy Tulips and Parisian Beauty

Making sympathy cards can be hard especially if you are feeling the loss of someone special so I like to have a few on hand if possible. I tend to go looking on pinterest for ideas and I found this one by Mary Deatherage which I used as a guide for my final design.

This one showcases the Timeless Tulips stamp set and matching tulip punch which makes these types of cards really easy to put all the elements together.

The Parisian Blossoms designer series paper is also featured here - I used one of the more subtle pieces. I also made my own designer series paper using one of the sentiments from the Parisian Beauty stamp set.

I love the layers of black, they really make the panels stand out.

A smattering of champagne rhinestones and some ribbon add an elegant touch.
