Hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog. Today we are hopping with Kylie's Training Program. This is a program for demonstrators who are looking for some business tips and tricks or their Stampin' Up! business. This is always an epic hop so sit back and enjoy all the crafty goodness coming your way!
We have no set theme for these hops which is great as we can showcase anything we like! I do still like to challenge myself in some way though by trying a simple trick or colours that I might not usually gravitate towards.
I am always inspired to try new techniques, colours and styles by my Stampin' Up! family. I find sometimes that I feel stuck in a rut of creating the same style of cards all the time. This is not always a bad thing - I think everyone needs to have their own individual style - but trying something new is always good too right?
Take this card for example. I love the sunflower stamp and used it to create a background on white cardstock. Normally I would leave it there, add a sentiment and perhaps some bling or ribbon. But the 'extra' on this card is colouring in the background around the flowers. It creates such an extra wow making the sunflowers pop without overpowering or distracting from them.
This was an idea I got from Kylie Page @ Stampers Workshop. She uses this technique a bit with her cards and I am always impressed.
Why not give it a try yourself? Have a play around with colours and images and see what you come up with. I would love to see it!
Make sure you click through all the participants to see what they have been creating.
Love the sunflowers and colours chosen! Thanks for taking part in our Demonstrator Training Blog Hop this month!
