Hi crafty friends and thanks for stopping by tonight.
Tonight I am super excited as I was asked to be a guest designer for the Paper Adventures Team. It's always fun to hop with these talented ladies. Tonight's theme is BANNERS.
And without further ado, here is my card.
I have been having loads of fun creating these peony flowers in a whole range of colours and papers.
And don't you just love all the shimmer? I used my spritzer to mix rubbing alcohol and frost white shimmer paint to give these flowers lots of shine.
My inspiration for this card came from pinterest - made by the crafty yogi.
The flowers layer really easily and you can add mini dimensionals in between the layers to get a really full look. It is just fun to sit and create a bunch at the one time and see what you can create.
There 'happy' sentiment is the only piece of stamping on this card. The 'birthday' is from the well said dies. My tip for these is to attach a piece of the adhesive sheets to the card stock before you run it through the die cutting machine. This way you can just peel and stick and there is no need for blobs of glue that always seem to seep out on your project (or is that just me?!)
I have added texture with an embossing folder and a subtle piece of DSP from the Peony Garden pack. The banner is simply created with the banner punch which I used to flag the end of the DSP - simple but effective!
Make sure you hop over to Narelle's blog to see what she has created.
