Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop - CASE a team member

This month's challenge is a great one - CASE a team member. We were all given the name of a team member to case - for me it is the lovely Jan Clothier at Thinking Stamping.  One day I am hoping we can meet in person.

I have to admit I had a bit of trouble choosing which card to case as all of Jan's projects are amazing but I did stop on this card below as I love this stamp set and have not used it for ages so I thought I would dust it off and have a play.

Now as an extra challenge this month we were asked to CASE a team member with a twist so I thought I would channel my inner Cazz Boylan as she is caseing me this month!

When I think of Cazz I think of a classic black shift dress, a megawatt smile and bright pink lipstick so I chose to go with these colours for my card. I also know she loves the beach and lives in a warm climate so the sea shells seemed very appropriate for her. I am quite pleased with how it turned out!

I used polished pink to stamp the shells onto white shimmer cardstock then cut them with my paper snips. The white embossed panel is also made using the shimmer cardstock. It gives a really beautiful shine. And Cazz is beautiful inside and out so this sentiment was perfect.

The full participant list is below if you get lost along the way.

  1. How fun to take things from both Jan and Cazz to make your own, pretty card!

  2. Hi Melissa! Shame we didn't get to catch up this time round. Maybe some other time. I do love this set and I like the way you've made it your own. Secretly, this is one of my least favourite makes so it made me smile that you picked it! :-)
