Way to go (Auckland Onstage sample)

Today's card is one that I made as part of my presentation at Auckland Onstage but it didn't make the final cut! Not because I didn't love it, just because I ended up with too many samples.

I used the stitched and the nested oval dies to create the wreath base then added leaves and flowers from the frosted bouquet and the bouuquet bunch dies. I was trying to make it look like Australian wattle.

The letter 'w' is die cut once in night of navy and once in daffodil delight then layered slightly off centre to create a shadow effect. I added some rhinestones for a bit of bling.

The sentiment  is from the Praiseworthy Prose stamp set, I love these dictionary style stamps.

I have used the subtle embossing folder as the base layer - I love to use the same cardstock to give it layers and texture without the distraction of another colour.

And just like that we are back!

Hello all, a HUGE thank you for your patience while my blog disappeared - I felt so lost without it!

After deciding that I wasn't going to get my old blog back I spent the whole day yesterday trying to set up a new blog I finally heard back from Blogger - and they reinstated my blog -  just like that! I didn't know whether to laugh or cry (so I did both!)

So I am back! I have a heap of projects to share with you so stay tuned.

More Thank you cards

I don't know about you but I never seem to have enough thank you cards on hand and I certainly don't send them anywhere near as much as I should. Sometimes just saying thank you isn't enough so it is nice to be able to have a sweet card to share.

This card is so easy to duplicate and mass produce to make sure you always have a thank you card on hand. You can change up your embossing folders too which can change the look quite dramatically.

The base is Terracotta Tile one of our in colours for 2019-2021. It is a beautiful colour. The circle panel is die cut from the Woven Threads DSP. I have then layered more die cuts and added the sentiment. I also added a heart epoxy droplet which I coloured with a marker to match.

The thank you sentiment comes from the Modern Heart stamp set.

Brightly Gleaming Copper tin

As promised I am showing you another copper tin project this time using the brightly gleaming dsp which I just adore. This paper has beautiful copper elements so it matches perfectly with the copper tea tin. I have made a batch of these for Christmas gifts this year.

Sorry the photo is slightly wonky - the photographer must have been having a bad day! Or as usual she took it in a hurry!

I used night of navy and copper - these shapes are punched out of the dsp and copper foil sheets using the gleaming ornaments punch pack. It is a set of 2 punches just perfect for all your Christmas projects.

And see the copper accent I have added behind the shapes? That is the copper trim ribbon from the annual catalogue. If you gently pull it apart it creates a beautiful mesh effect which I thought looked fun.

Why not grab a few of these tins for your Christmas gifts, they certainly have the wow factor!

Magnolia Copper tin

I love these copper tins - they are so easy to decorate in a flash to add some wow to a gift or even let it be the gift itself! I have decorated this tin with the magnolia lane DSP and stamp set. A few pearls and some beautiful ribbon and the tin is done. I chose not to use a sentiment on this project as I am not sure what occasion I am going to be needing if for just yet!

The tins come in a set of 4 so you can make some to give away and some to keep for yourself!

These tins are quite roomy - plenty of space for chocolates, scarf, socks, jewellery - the list goes on.

Stay tuned for the Christmas ones I have made!

In the meantime, click on any of the images below to head to my online store to purchase these supplies - and more!

Hello Little One

I don't have anyone to give these sweet baby cards to but the rabbits were just too cute not to make some cards.

Again I was inspired by my team leader Marelle, she makes the most stunning cards! Thanks for the inspiration.

I wanted to make both blue and pink versions to cater for both genders so I have used are two of the 2019-2021 in colours - rococo rose and seaside spray. I have co-ordinated the cardstock, ribbon and designer series paper.

The rabbits were stamped in memento ink (the best black if you are going to use the blends markers) and then coloured with crumb cake, pool party and petal pink blends.

The teeny sentiment is from the same stamp set.
