Happy Birthday / Timeless Tulips

I am on a bit of a roll with these tulips! Today's card uses quite a few items that are on the last chance list so if you love 'em better get 'em quick!!

The stone embossing folder was a sale-a-bration special that has already ended but I think most of our embossing folders would look great here, it's really just about creating another layer of texture to the card without distracting from the focal image.

Get Well Soon / Timeless Tulips

I am so happy that these tulips are carrying over into the new annual catalogue as they are so pretty and so versatile.

This card came together quite quickly using the tulip punch to cut out the petals. I am not huge on fussy cutting so if there is a punch or die I am all over that!

I saw THIS CARD by Mary Fish and just changed the colours up to suit the dsp I used. I love the way this layout showcases not only the tulips but also the subtle embossing folder which has been well used, I just love it!

Why not try making this yourself with a variety of colour combinations.

Copper treat bags.

I am missing making treats for my classes, I always enjoy spoiling them.

I had some photos of treats that I haven’t shared yet. Perhaps they can give you some ideas to make a little something to share with friends and family to let them know you are thinking of them and that you care.

These copper treat bags hold a Kit Kat bar perfectly. I trimmed of the end of the bag to get a straight edge then simply folded it over. I then added some circle layers. Yes this paper is now retired but you can use any paper you have on hand.

I chose not to add a sentiment bit that can be easily added too.

These bags are sadly retiring at the end of the month but I have stocked up as they make gift wrapping and giving that little bit more special.

ESAD See Ya Later Favourites Blog Hop

Yes it's another blog hop for me today! This time I am joining the girls From ESAD - Extra Special Australasian Stampin' Up! Demonstrators group.

The theme for this blog hop is 'See Ya Later Favourites'. With then end of the Annual catalogue fast approaching it is time to give those stamp sets that are retiring one final share of the spotlight before they are gone for good.

I decided to showcase the Beautiful Braided stamp set. I was inspired by a similar card made by my super talented team member Kylie Page @ Stampers Workshop. She makes the most beautiful cards and her colouring is out of this world!!

I have stamped the large ginko leaves in whisper white ink onto basic black cardstock. I have then coloured the leaves and stems with my blends markers. I love the soft watery look this gives.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set and is stamped in memento ink onto a strip of vellum cardstock. It does take a little longer to dry so don't be impatient and try to handle it too soon (don't ask me how I know!)

I added a layer of Rich Razzleberry cardstock before adding it all to my basic black card base. I added some basic rhinestones that I coloured with the dark rich razzleberry blends to match and a teeny tiny stitched heart from the Stitched Labels dies which are also sadly retiring.

Social Stamping - Birthdays in Isolation

Hello Stampers, it is time for another Social Stamping by mypapercraftjourney | Blog Host event organised by Kelly Kent. Thank you for joining us.

This month's theme is Birthdays in Isolation as it is Kelly's birthday this month! Happy Birthday Gorgeous! Here is a sneak peak of your card :)

I have really enjoyed a few days in my studio in the peace and quiet just playing around with paper, stamps ink etc. Some of my creations were cased from pinterest and social media and some were just happy accidents!

This one I was really happy with and I actually ended up making 6 in the end with a variety of designer series paper packs so the cards are the same but different.

I started with a piece of whisper white cardstock which I embossed with the coastal weave embossing folder. I then adhered some sparkle glimmer die cut glitter leaves from the Tropical die set

I love this large heart die from the Stitched Be Mine set and I am so glad it is going to carry over into the new annual catalogue. I have used it to die cut a piece of the Ornate Garden specialty designer series paper.

The bold sentiment is from the Perennial Birthday stamp set. Stamped in Terracotta Tile and die cut with the stitched rectangle dies.

StampingPals Challenge #3 | Theme - Birthdays

Today's card is quite simple in design and colour scheme but I really like it! It mixes old product and new in a fun way.

I have used blueberry bushel for my card base and ink. This is one of the 2018-2020 in colours that is retiring at the end of May so get in quick and stock up before it is gone forever.

I have used the Ornate Garden large flower stamp to randomly stamp the background. I love the look of the tone on tone with the same colour ink and cardstock. It give a great depth to the project without being too in-your-face about it!

I have done the same with the ornate layer, using the same cardstock. The nice, bold birthday sentiment is from the Perennial Birthday stamp set - another well loved set that is retiring soon.

A smattering of blueberry noble peacock rhinestones and my card was complete!!
