Shaded Summer and FREE Summer Shadow dies

I just love Stampin' Up! for it's coordination - it's one of the main things that attracted me to the company in the first place. And when that co ordination is FREE well - I am most certainly in!

And that is the case during sale-a-bration. We are able to earn the beautiful Summer Shadow dies that coordinate with the Shaded Summer Stamp set in the Annual catalogue.

I cased the card from Tracy Bradley - I loved the simplicity of this card. I won’t go into all the details as Tracy has a PDF you can download with comprehensive instructions.

Enjoy!

Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop - Changing Seasons

After having a little break from this blog hop I am back! I am so happy to be hopping with these super talented girls, I am always so inspired by their creativity.

This month's theme is Changing Seasons. Here is Australia we have just emerged from Winter into Spring so for me it's all about flowers and sunshine. The mornings are still cool but warm up to mostly bright sunny days. My favourite time of the year.

So it's no surprise that my card involves flowers and bright, happy spring colours. I spied the pansy DSP on my shelf and knew what I wanted to create. I also happened to need a Birthday card for a friend so my card is for her.

I love this style of card. Not only does it have extra wow factor but it is also a great way to showcase all your favourite patterned pieces form the DSP pack.

Here I have used soft succulent as my card base then added some embossing and the die cut pansies. I love the Tasteful textile embossing folder. I used stampin' dimensionals under the flowers to give them some height then added the leaves underneath. The sentiment comes from the Shaded Summer stamp set which is die cut with the Smooth Sailing dies.

Feels Like Home - FREE Sale-a-bration stamp set.

This is another of the fabulous FREE stamps you can earn during sale-a-bration. I just love the fine detailed lines in this stamp - called Feels Like Home.

It can be coloured in a multitude of ways or left simply stamped as I have done here. I have used basic grey ink as I find it much softer than black and against the blushing bride I thought it worked well. I have added an embossed layer using the Tasteful Textiles embossing folder. The pop of white keeps it clean and crisp.

Remember you only have until the end of September to earn this stamp (and many other fun products).

Another look at the Delicate Dahlia stamp

Another look at the Delicate Dahlia stamp set - this time I have stamped the outline in black then stamped the second 'filler' stamp in Bumblebee. Now I have a little tip for you on how to line them up - I put a little sharpie mark on both the flower stamps so I can line them up easily every single time. They are not designed to exactly match - it is more of a watercolour look, but it does help if they are nearly in the right spot!

I have also used another sale-a-bration item - the Beautifully Penned designer series paper. Being black and white it matched with everything and I love adding a pop of colour with it, like I have here.
The large white shape is die cut from the Seasonal Labels dies in the Holiday mini Catalogue.

Birthday Sheep

I have another fun sheep card for you today - isn't his party hat too cute!? I saw this card made by  Kelly Acheson and just fell in love!

We used the cloud elements, hat and sheep from the Sheep Dies in the sale-a-bration catalogue (no fussy cutting which suits me just fine!) The designer series paper is from a pack called Pattern Party which can only be redeemed with hostess dollars. It is a HUGE pack - bright colours on one side and black and white on the other. Love it! And I used the stitched greenery die which I also just love, it creates such a beautiful background.

These sheep and coordinating dies are only available until 30th September (or while stocks last) so make sure you don't miss your chance to earn them for FREE with a qualifying order.
