Product of the week - Buffalo Check

Today I am sharing my product of the week. I am keen to share with you some of my favourite items we carry at Stampin' Up!

Today's product is new in the Holiday catalogue and it's called Buffalo Check. It is a large background stamp which allows you to make your own checked patterns on cardstock or designer series paper in any colour to match any product!

It comes in clear mount (red rubber) or wood mount.

I have a project using this versatile stamp to share with you later this week - in the meantime check out these cute snowmen!

This second box showcases the Joyous Noel Suite from the Holiday Catalogue (pages 36-37)

Make sure you try making one yourself - they are loads of fun and slightly addictive!! Instructions can be found HERE

Chocolate Favour Box

This time of year I am always looking for and making little boxes and bags for gift giving.

I am heading to Melbourne soon for a Stampin Up event called Onstage and we are encouraged to make swaps to share with our fellow crafters. Although I cannot show you yet what I have made, I have had loads of fun playing with ideas and patterns. But I now have the happy dilemma of not knowing which project  to choose!

Here is one idea. A chocolate favour box. The little fold over flap on the left is just the right size for a fun size chocolate - in this case I added a milky way chocolate to go with the space theme and the sentiment - clever huh?

This project uses the Twinkle Twinkle bundle (pages 82-83 annual catalogue)

I saw this design HERE by Sally Stampers. She has the dimensions and a video to watch too.

Super fun and quick to make - great for swaps, party favours and table treats. Change up the colours and sentiments and they can be used for any occasion.

I have made some different designs that I will share with you later.

You never cease to amaze me

Something I always seem to forget to do is stamp directly onto our beautiful designer series paper. I'm not sure why but whenever I do I am always impressed with the outcome.

So when I saw this card on Pinterest I knew I needed to get out that designer series paper and just stamp!

You might not instantly recognise the designer series paper - it is from the Tropical Escape 6x6 pack.

I stamped the leaves in Smoky Slate and Granny Apple Green. The flower is from Healing Hugs and is stamped in Coastal Cabana.

The sentiment comes from En Route and I added some clear epoxy droplets and a little touch of ribbon.

Happy Glittery Birthday!

Hello everyone, I have another card to show you today. This one showcases the Frosted Floral designer series paper from the 2018 Holiday Catalogue (page 37) It's a bit hard to see in the catalogue but these papers have a beautiful pearl effect as the patterns are printed on shimmery paper. It gives it a luxurious look and feel.

This panel style card is one I love to use when I don't want to cover up the beautiful papers! I simply cut the paper into strips then stuck them to the card base - in this case blackberry bliss. The Happy Birthday is cut in sparkling glimmer paper using the Happy Birthday thinlits from the annual catalogue. I find the easiest way to attach this is to use the multipurpose adhesive sheets. Attach the cardstock to a piece of adhesive sheet and then run it through the bigshot machine. Then all you need to do is remove the backing and attach it to your card. Saves messy glue leaking out the sides! The sheets are fantastic for small and intricate dies.

This is another less-is-more style of card - easy to make a few of quickly to have on hand for those birthdays we sometimes forget!

No act of kindness is ever wasted

A simple style of card today but I really wanted to showcase the All the Good Things stamp set. Beautiful images and sentiments to match. This stamp set is from the Distinktive range and stamp beautifully. The images below are stamped once in one colour of ink but have all the shading and depth in one step!

I made the same card in two colours - Highland Heather and Flirty Flamingo. I used the Subtle embossing folder to create an extra layer of dimension and added the coordinating designer series papers.  A simple loop of twine and a bow and my cards were done. I found this design on Pinterest and love the layout - I will use it again for sure. Quick, simple and easy to mass produce. It's hard to see in the photos but I have used the Wink of Stella pen over the leaves for a bit of sparkle.
