Hello and welcome everyone to our monthly Around the World on Wednesday blog hop! Today we are showcasing our projects with the theme - the world around us.
For me the last few weeks have been all about Christmas holiday planning and preparation so I am sharing with you some of the projects I have been working on - some are still very much hush, hush but these ones I can show you now :)
I love the Poinsettia bundle so very much and have been using it for heaps of my class projects for cards, 3D items and home decor.
And I love these slim line cards that are very popular at the moment so I was keen to try one for myself. Super, super easy - I cut my cardstock in a 8" x 8" square then scored it down the middle. This way it fits into standard DL envelope (for those of us in Australia/NZ at least!) I randomly stamped the poinsettia stamp over a piece of whisper white cardstock then die cut 3 stitched squares trying to get a random assortment of the stamped image to make the card look less uniform. I I also stamped the card base with the same image. I then coloured them with blends markers.
I also made a wooden ornament to hang on the Christmas Tree. I found these wood slices about 18 months ago - I *think* it was on Ebay. I simply made a poinsettia flower, added some sprigs and a liberal dose of Wink of Stella then glued it to the wooden slice. I then added a red ribbon hanger.
I cannot wait to see how everyone else interpreted this challenge, I sure had fun with it!
