Onstage Adventures

Oh boy, what a weekend I had. My head is spinning with ideas and inspiration.

Last weekend was our twice yearly Onstage event and this time around it was in my home town of Perth at Scarborough Beach. I decided to make a weekend of it and stayed at the hotel to save driving backwards and forwards - any excuse right? And we had beautiful views over the ocean from the balcony.

Onstage is an event put on by Stampin' Up! for demonstrators to showcase new product (I've got my hands on the new catalogue and it is STUNNING) and business tips but more than that it is a chance for like minded demos to catch up and be spoilt for the day. If you are a demo or thinking of becoming one I strongly recommend you attending an Onstage event, they are fab!

So Friday night was the Centre Stage dinner. This was the first time I was eligible to attend - very exciting! It was an 80s theme (optional fancy dress) for approx 20 of us. It was a lovely mixture of great company, 80s music, beautiful food, 80s quiz and a bit of business chat. We were totally spoilt with loads of goodies too.

Saturday morning we were up bright and early for the main event. By 7.30am the foyer was full of over excited demonstrators keen to chat and swap. It is a tradition to make some type of card or small gift to swap with fellow demos and it's always loads of fun and a great way to meet people and put a face to names.

These were my swaps, mini canvases with magnets attached. I made about 50 and I could have swapped more!

And these ones were for my lovely team members and a few special friends. The same canvas just mounted on an easel for a bit more wow factor!

Just some of the many swaps I received in return. I just love to see what everyone creates.

The whole day was fantastic, loads of new product to see and touch, a yummy packed lunch, cupcakes for afternoon tea, make and take projects - the list goes on.

I forgot to take photos of lunch but the cupcakes were yummy!

And we had recognition for everyone who had promoted recently - that was me! I was one of 2 people who got the chance to walk across the stage to cheers and claps! With me is my friend Leisa. Scary but exciting at the same time. Not the best photos but my name was up in lights!!

Excited much?

I do hope you get the chance to attend one of these events. I always leave with heavy bags full of new goodies and most of all my heart full from all the wonderful friends I have made during my Stampin' Up! journey.

  1. Wow! It looks like such a great weekend. What a perfect location too. SU really knows how to treat its demonstrators doesn't it? It must have been such a thrill to see your name up in lights. :) Congratulations!
