Onstage recap

Hello everyone, I cannot believe a whole week has passed since I attended the Stampin' Up! Onstage event - it's been a chaotic week! And it doesn't look like slowing down anytime soon!

The weekend started with dinner on the Friday night called Centrestage. A great time to catch up with new and old friends and have a meal together.

Once we had checked in we received a backpack full of goodies - including a stamp set, notepad and pens, and a lanyard with our name.

We were spoilt with gifts too - a brand new stamp set and a beautiful business card holder in a gorgeous poppy print which was the theme for the weekend. We also received the new Mini catalogue and Sale-a-Bration catalogues - my oh my, such beautiful things coming in January.

An early start on Saturday morning but I most certainly was not the first one there!

It was a full on day of socialising, crafting, presentations, swapping, laughter and even a high tea at our table with lunch! We were spoilt with many more free gifts from Stampin' Up! and my stamping friends.

After the event we went out for dinner which was organised by a fellow demo Rachel. It was the perfect venue and we were able to sit outside and mingle. It was a lovely way to wind down and chat some more about our great weekend.

I love these events as I am always reminded about the wonderful family stampers are. So welcoming, caring and happy to share their knowledge.

I cannot wait until the next event!

Later this week I will share the swaps and gifts I received.

The only way you can attend these events is to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator so why not join my team - The Happy Camper Stampers. There is no pressure to sell or recruit, just a great way to get your stamping fix at a discount. Read more and join my team HERE

Happy Birthday with Christmastime roses

It might be called Christmastime is Here but this paper does not look Christmassy to me so I used it to make a birthday card. I call this type of card a curtain fold but I have also heard it called drapery fold. Either way it is a super fun way to show off both sides of designer series paper!

A touch of embossing and some touches of gold and a fancy card was made!

The sentiment comes from the Lots of Happy card kit - there is a whole sheet of great stamps in there that can be used for all your projects not just the kit.

Christmastime is here designer series papers

Gosh I just love this DSP - it is so regal looking and so easy to create stunning cards with. I couldn't quite stretch the budget to buy the whole suite but there was no way I was not getting at least some of it - like the designer series paper! I also bought the gold ribbon and the gold glitter enamel dots.

A good friend came to stamp with me a few weeks ago and she kindly let me borrow her dies so I was able to die cut this large rose piece directly from the papers - so I cut them all out while I had the chance - I am not overly fond of fussy cutting - especially when I don't have to!

So no stamping, just paper, cardstock and some bling!

Make sure you get this suite asap as it is only available until the end of November or while stocks last.

Last minute prep for Onstage

This weekend is another Onstage event and this time it is in my hometown of Perth. It feels a bit strange to not be travelling this time - the last Onstage event was in Auckland!

It has been a busy (and very hot) week getting everything done but I am nearly there! At least I have my swaps done - here is a sneak peek......

I will blog them in more detail next week after they have been swapped.

Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop 12 - Birthdays are the Best Days

Its time for another Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop!

This month is a colour challenge to use 3 colours - Lovely Lipstick, Granny Apple Green and Night of Navy. Not hard for me at all as I love all these colours!

I fell in love with this card layout that I found on Pinterest and used it for one of my recent classes. As I had a leftover kit I was able to quickly change out the colour combination and recreate it with the three challenge colours - and I love it! The colours really work well together and I love the crispness the whisper white adds.

The sentiment comes from the Beautiful Friendship stamp set.

Make sure you hop through the rest of our team blogs to see what everyone else has create with these colours.

Magnolia Buds

I have a class card to share with you today - totally cased from pinterest.

Such a beautiful way to showcase not only the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set but also the matching designer series paper and the use of blends.

The dies make cutting out these buds quick and easy. I love the soft look of the petal pink blends against the crumb cake. I have simply added dimensionals behind them to lift them off the page.

Simple design but a really pleasing result!

Puppy Family

A sweet puppy card for you today!

I know our dog is a big part of our family so I thought this sentiment went well.

Quite a simple card made with a few layers for some added texture.

The base is blushing bride then I added a layer of crumb cake embossed with the subtle embossing folder. I then punched out the puppy with the same embossed paper.

The stitched frame layer is vellum.

I have then added leaves and a small flower with the praiseworthy prose sentiment.

Some rhinestone and pearl bling and my sweet card was done.
