The technique we used on this third card is called the Spotlight Technique. It is basically highlighting part of a stamped image making it a focal point of the card.
I have done this technique many times over the years but when I saw a card in Pinterest using this large flower I knew I had to recreate it.
The large bunch of flowers from the Ornate Garden bundle is perfect for this technique. We stamped the whole image in black on whisper white then stamped a smaller section onto a scrap of white using the layering circle dies to cut out the shapes. A bit of colouring using the dark blends of Poppy Parade. Balmy Blue and Granny Apply Green make this image really pop.
A cute little sentiment (from the Very Versailles set) on soft seam foam cardstock ties the colours together.
