Christmas gifts a plenty!

I always like to give handmade at Christmas time and this year I had a huge pile of handmade cards on hand so I boxed them up in our acetate card boxes to hand out to everyone.

I left the boxes undecorated as I felt the cards did all the work for me :)

So quick and easy and such a practical gift for any time of the year. Why not do it yourself? Hand made cards are so much nicer than store bought ones.

Merry Christmas from my home to yours

Merry Christmas everyone.

I hope that even if we cannot be with the ones we love today that we are grateful for what we do have in our lives.

Wishing you health and happiness for 2021.

Quite Curvy / Made with love, just for you.

Hello all, today's card is one I cased from Claire Daly - I fell in love with the design and colours immediately.

You might not recognise these images but they are from the Quite Curvy stamp set and I just love how different this card looks using the same bundle.

The birds are stamped in smoky slate ink as I wanted them to be a softer colour rather than using black. I then coloured them with my blends pens carefully so the ink didn't bleed.

Tip - Memento ink is recommended if you plan on colouring your stamped images with blends markers. For such a small image however, the blends worked well for me.

I used petal pink as my base cardstock then added a layer of petal pink dsp from the Subtles 6x6 pack then another layer of petal pink embossed with the Greenery embossing folder.

A few scattered gems and a small bow finished it off nicely.

Chocolate Gnomes!

I have some more chocolately projects to share with you today showcasing the sweet little gnomes.

A quick belly band around a small block of chocolate using the Heartwarming hugs dsp matches perfectly with my coloured gnomes - I used blends and some wink of stella on his beard.

Great last minute gift ideas for Christmas perhaps? These would look so sweet on the Christmas table.

Chocolate treats a plenty!

I had a customer order for a batch of these chocolate treats to hand out as Christmas gifts.

They were such fun to put together!

I started with the acetate boxes and added a square of the dsp then added the various elements finishing with the red bow.

Super easy home decor pieces with Fine Art Floral DSP

I love making simple home decor pieces and using our 12x12 papers in a 12x12 shadow box frame makes a quick and easy gift. I also love that you can change out the papers for different seasons and occasions.

I found this fun decal on ebay which suits me perfectly. I also know quite a few other crafters who would appreciate this too! I had the frames on hand but you can get them from places like Kmart for around $10.

Inside the frame I put a piece of the brand new Fine Art Floral designer series paper (coming 5th January 2021). I then layered a piece of the Golden Garden designer specialty acetate over the top - they match perfectly.

I love having these around my craft room and I am sure you will too!

Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #25 Anything Goes!

Hello and welcome to this month's Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #25!

This month is nice and easy, the challenge is 'anything goes' - a great challenge for this time of year! Right now I am all about packaging - tags, bags. boxes and more! This project I made for our last card class for the year.

I found these sweet Christmas cookies at Big W which came already boxed and individually wrapped. I wanted to glam them up a bit so I repackaged them into Stampin' Up!'s mosaic bags and made a tag topper with the Peace and Joy bundle and the Celebration Labels dies.

Sadly most of these items are retiring so if you are keen to get them I suggest you place an order asap.

I love these dies as they are designed to nest together giving you so many colour options to create. I stuck wih the traditional real red and old olive. The smaller sentiments were stamped in real red ink and cut with my snips.

I love how they turned out!

Changes to Whisper White cardstock

We have had an update from Stampin' Up! regarding Whisper White products. Basically we are transitioning from one supplier to another and the new products will be rebranded as Basic White.

This shouldn't cause too many issues but there might be a delay in one product selling out and the new product arriving.

But I wanted to let you know in case you might need to order some items.

 WHISPER WHITE CARDSTOCK

Whisper White has been a Stampin’ Up! staple for so long. We love it and we know you love it, too. We are sad to announce that the supplier’s mill producing our Whisper White cardstock has permanently closed due to impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, we weren’t given much notice on this closure. This means that the technology unique to this particular supplier is now unavailable to us and we can no longer offer our Whisper White cardstock and related products, such as Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes. Please note that this won’t affect any of our other cardstocks, this only affects Whisper White.
We know Whisper White has a huge fan base; we’re big fans, too! And we are crushed that it’s going away. Even though this decision was out of our hands, rest assured that we jumped right into action to find the best replacement paper possible. We have dedicated many hours to source and test alternative cardstock options from several suppliers to find the perfect fit that still maintains the Stampin’ Up! quality you know and trust. We are happy to share that we have found a winner for our new cardstock, Basic White!

The quality of our new Basic White was thoroughly tested by our quality assurance and product teams. It also tested very well with demonstrators and concept artists who gave it a huge thumbs up. We believe in the quality of the new Basic White cardstock and we know it will become your new crafting staple!

What does this mean for you?
With Whisper White going out of production, this means a number of Whisper White products will be affected. We know pre-order is a time for you to purchase new items to prepare for the upcoming months of your business so we wanted to give you this information before Whisper White products sell out and before all Basic White products are fully ready so you can include it in your business planning. Below is a list of all products that will be replaced with our new Basic White cardstock. These items are now available while supplies last with an order limit of 2 per item per order.

Whisper White 12" x 12" (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Cardstock (124302)
Assorted Memories & More Cards & Envelopes (149710)
Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes (131527)
Whisper White 3" x 3" (7.6 x 7.6 cm) Envelopes (145829)
Whisper White A4 Cardstock (106549)
Whisper White A4 Thick Cardstock (140490)
Whisper White C6 Envelopes (106588)

Our new Basic White products will become available to purchase as soon as we have them in stock. This means that some Whisper White and Basic White products may be available at the same time. Additionally, due to the nature of sourcing, some Basic White products may not be available before the Whisper White products sell out. Please know that we are working on getting these products available to you as fast as possible.

Tag, you're it! - Four Seasons Floral and Jar of Flowers

It's been that time of the year where I have been making lots and lots of tags for my Christmas gifts.

These sweet tags came together really quickly. I used two stamp sets - Four Seasons Floral and Jar of Flowers and I used two punches - Jar and Scalloped Tag Topper. I find using the punches quick and easy when I need to mass produce and this jar was perfect for the tags.

I stamped the jar in crumb cake ink onto crumb cake cardstock then punched them out. I coloured the poinsettias with poppy parade and just jade blends then fussy cut them out. I didn't get too particular with the colouring, I actually quite like the more rustic look to me honest and it made the process much quicker :)

Once the jar was assembled I added them to a base of thick whisper white that I made into a tag shape using the tag topper punch.  A bit of ribbon and a bit of bling and they were done!
