Sweet Strawberries

One of the FREE saleabration items this year is this yummy sweet strawberry designer series paper. It is called Berry Blessings and comes with a coordinating stamp set too! This is a level 2 reward which means it is available for free with a $180 spend.

And whilst I havent used it on this particular card, this bundle is designed to co-ordinate with the Sweet Strawberry bundle in the 2021 Janu-June catalogue. I love how well Stampin' Up! matches everything together!

This card is a simple layout I cased from Pinterest but I made this card a wile ago and now cannot find the original project. I love the simplicity of the circles layered together, it really showcases the DSP dont you think? The painted texture embossing folder is pretty special too!

Darling Donkeys - you can get them for FREE during sale-a-bration

Is there anything cuter than this donkey?  I just love his sweet face.

I have not had much time to sit and play lately with school holidays (I am not complaining, I love this time of year!) so I have been using Pinterest to get some inspiration. And this card is one of those. This card was cased from Diana Gibbs

I used the In Good Taste DSP for the background and the FREE Flower and Field DSP - I love how this looks like a farm yard with wild flowers, the touches of daffodil delight mimicking the sun.

So if you love the donkeys too all you need to do is place a $90 order through my online store and you can select this stamp set as your FREE sale-a-bration item.

Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #26

Hello and welcome to our first Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop for 2021! This month is a nice easy challenge (thanks Nikki!) - January - June mini catalogue and/or sale-a-bration.

With so many new and fun goodies to play with my hardest decision was which stamp set to use. I am in a colouring phase, I find it relaxing especially when it's warm - its been high 30s and up to 40 deg - and that's way too hot for little old me.

January is the time when I have a break from running classes so I can just sit and create for fun.

I love this succulent stamp set, it was one of my first purchases. The big bold images lend themselves to a variety of colouring methods. In this case I pulled out my trusty blends pens in all the greens and got to work. I used smoky slate for the pot.

With the matching dies I was quickly and neatly able to die cut both images then mount them onto my embossed panel then onto my card base. A simple sentiment and my card is complete.

Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop - Favourite Inspiration

Hello friends and welcome to another Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. We are starting 2021 with the theme of Favourite Inspiration

For me this means a huge variety of places, people and things as I am constantly inspired by the most random of things - clothing patterns, flowers, colour combinations, shop windows, social media, packaging etc etc.

But when I am short on time for class prep I always come back to Pinterest. I could spend days scrolling through the gazillions of card ideas. In fact I probably do!

If I am stuck for an idea for a particular stamp set I just type in the name and stampin up and there is  always a huge array of projects to get my creative juices flowing.

I love seeing peoples interpretation of the stamps be it colours, designs or sometime some really out of the box ideas.

Today's card uses my current favourite dsp - True Love which contains a variety of black and white patterns and flowers. I saw Sandy McCullough's card on Pinterest and knew I wanted to recreate it with the more subtle colours.

I changed her card design then cut the coloured panel to 4"x3" then added another piece of DSP (sadly retired I just realised) I love to add a textured embossed panel in the same colour as my base card for get some added texture without distracting from the focal image/s.

I then added the sentiment from the You are Amazing stamp set and some coloured bling to complete the card. I also added a touch of wink of stella to the centre of the flowers.

I shared this card a few days ago here on my blog with exactly the same DSP but see how different it looks just by using a more bold set of blends.

Again Pinterest has shown me the versatility of the one dsp pack in a variety of different ways. Now I am off to buy more paper to keep on colouring, this is rather addictive!
