Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop - CAS(e) the Mini Switcharoo

Hello everyone, it's time for a new year of our monthly Around the World on Wednesday blog hop! CAS(e) the Mini Switcharoo is the general theme for the January 2022 Blog Hop with a specific focus on NOT using the same colours or the same products. How fun!

So for my project I cased the sample on the bottom of page 44. I then substituted the Friendly Hello stamp set and DSP (both of which are available for FREE during sale-a-bration). I loved the idea of using dsp but also adding a piece of stamped dsp. The focal image is water coloured with ink but I chose to use my blends instead.  

I do love Pool Party and having this as the base of my dsp made it an easy choice for me. I stamped the double flower randomly over the cardstock to create another layer of dsp. I then stamped it again on white cardstock and coloured it with my Stampin' Blends and fussy cut it out to adhere to the white banner piece.

I love this Blessings of Home stamp set - and it has co-ordinating dies which makes me extra happy! 

I saw this card on pinterest and fell in love with it so I recreated it for a class. 

I love the crumb cake and pale papaya together. And the touch in mint macaron is really pretty don't you think? 

And I have a little tip for you - I used my light crumb cake blend around the edge of the die cut to soften the white border.  Give it a try, it really makes a difference.
