Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop - Colour Challenge #1

Today I am blog hopping again with my talented Stampers Anonymous team. You have probably arrived from Sharon's blog - welcome!

This month's theme is a colour challenge based on the image below.

Aren't they fun and bright? They make me smile :)

So onto my card, I needed a thank you card for a dear friend (who just happens to love purple - how perfect is that?)

I was inspired by this card by a fellow demo called Anne Marie Hile.

The card has quite a few elements to it but I loved just adding the little extra bits and pieces here and there as I felt it really added to the card and gave it more dimension. I am really pleased with the result!

So using 2 of the colours in the challenge - highland heather and lemon lime twist I added layers to the base card. I love the look of the subtle embossing folder - it's a little bit hard to see in this photo but it gives a really beautiful linen look. Great when youwant a bit of tecture but not somethig too overwhelming.

I used some new items - the Stitched Rectangles dies and the Well Said bundle. The Well Said bundle has a huge assortment of words that you can mix and match to say just about anything!

I used the Balmy Blue ink and patterned paper to add the third colour for the challenge.

A touch of bling with the pearls and the glitter enamel dots gave the card a bit of sparkle.

Make sure you check out the other creations in the blog hop. Next up is Meighan

  2. BEAUTIFUL! I love this! The little butterflies look super cute. Weirdly, it never crosses my mind to punch out DSP - I tend to go towards plain cardstock. Going to have to try this! Thanks for the inspiration!
