Melissa Gifford - Independent Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator: Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop

Tonight I am hopping with the Around the World on Wednesday group. Our theme for this month is All Things Crafty III.

Today's card is one I cased from Mary Fish. As soon as I saw it I knew I needed to recreate it. This flower stamp is from my current favourite stamp set - Tasteful Touches.

I love the simplicity of this design, it really showcases the flower stamp, the sentiment and the colours - in this case, poppy parade and basic grey.

I started by stamping the flower in poppy parade on the left hand side of the whisper white panel in a semi random pattern. I then added it to the basic grey card base. The flecks of grey are done with my smoky slate blend pen - I use the paint brush end and gently flick it on the lid to create a quick background.

This sentiment from the same set I thought was most suitable for this blog hop as it really sums up this extra special group! I love the varied fonts.

A scattering of rhinestones for a touch of bling and ta da - my card was done!
