Hello friends and welcome to another Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. We are starting 2021 with the theme of Favourite Inspiration.
For me this means a huge variety of places, people and things as I am constantly inspired by the most random of things - clothing patterns, flowers, colour combinations, shop windows, social media, packaging etc etc.
But when I am short on time for class prep I always come back to Pinterest. I could spend days scrolling through the gazillions of card ideas. In fact I probably do!
If I am stuck for an idea for a particular stamp set I just type in the name and stampin up and there is always a huge array of projects to get my creative juices flowing.
I love seeing peoples interpretation of the stamps be it colours, designs or sometime some really out of the box ideas.
Today's card uses my current favourite dsp - True Love which contains a variety of black and white patterns and flowers. I saw Sandy McCullough's card on Pinterest and knew I wanted to recreate it with the more subtle colours.
I changed her card design then cut the coloured panel to 4"x3" then added another piece of DSP (sadly retired I just realised) I love to add a textured embossed panel in the same colour as my base card for get some added texture without distracting from the focal image/s.
I then added the sentiment from the You are Amazing stamp set and some coloured bling to complete the card. I also added a touch of wink of stella to the centre of the flowers.
I shared this card a few days ago here on my blog with exactly the same DSP but see how different it looks just by using a more bold set of blends.
Again Pinterest has shown me the versatility of the one dsp pack in a variety of different ways. Now I am off to buy more paper to keep on colouring, this is rather addictive!
Next on our hop if the talented Ximena - click on the next button to head over to her blog. If you get stuck or the links are not working the full list of participants is listed below.
