Classes in full swing

I cannot believe that January is almost over already! I hope 2020 isn't going to speed past faster than 2019 did, I seem to blink and a week goes past!

My classes have recommenced and I have lots of new ideas floating around with the release of the 2020 mini catalogue and the sale-a-bration items on offer.

Please check out my class schedule on my website - www.melissagifford.com.au - just click on the CLASSES AND EVENTS tab at the top of the home page.

My card classes are currently held on Tuesday morning and Tuesday evenings and I hold regular Sunday workshops. Bookings are essential so I can prepare enough kits.

I would love spend time with you in my studio at one of the classes.

Please email me for more information or to book your place.

Parfum

I know I am getting in a bit early with the sentiment on this card but I wanted to show you this super quick and super cute perfume card using the Dressed to Impress bundle.

I love a monochromatic card and this one turned out rather cute!

I stamped the perfume bottle all over the white cardstock then stamped it once more on a piece of scrap card then added the 'smudge' stamp to imitate the perfume inside the bottle/

I layered this onto a die cut shape from the Stitched Labels dies the added the sentiment to the bottom.

Koala Fun!

Gosh I love these koalas - they are so cute and look like they are having so much fun!
For this card I used the catalogue for inspiration and recreated it for our card class last week.

It came together quite quickly once all the layers were die cut. A panel of birthday bonanza designer series paper adhered to a daffodil delight base and 3 stitched rectangles in bermuda bay. The koalas were stamped then die cut. Their little party hats were die cut from scraps of the super fun designer series paper.

The birthday sentiment comes from the same stamp set and was punched out using the label me fancy punch which gives it a subtle fancy shape.

Lots of fun - what not give it a try yourself?

Celebrate with Cake - and FREE cake at that!

Today I am sharing a card we made in class last week showcasing the Parisian Blossoms DSP and a FREE sale-a-bration stamp set you can earn Happy Birthday to You. I think this stamp set will be a keeper as it is such a great go to set for birthdays - I mean who doesn't love cake?

I used my faithful blends in pool party, petal pink, old olive and smoky slate to colour the cake then added wink of stella - it is  big of a running joke that Stella always comes to card class as she is so loved by all!

The celebrate sentiment comes from the same stamp set and then we added the petal pink organdy ribbon. And don't miss the new stitched so sweetly dies in the mini catalogue (page 20) - they are so versatile.

And come February there will also be a coordinating die available to purchase for the stamp set! How exciting. Stay tuned for that announcement.

Eiffel Tower with Parisian Blossoms

After I made the card I posted last week I kept playing with the Parisian Suite to create some more sample cards.

This one showcases not only the iconic Eiffel Tower but also the stunning floral image from the stamp set called  Forever Blossoms.

An embossed, stitched rectangle panel created a mat for me to add the images.

The blossom flower was coloured with blends and the I added some champagne rhinestones to complete the cards. I left this one without a sentiment so it can be used for any occasion.

Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #14 - Follow Your Heart to Paris

Time for another Stampers Anonymous team blog hop! The first one for 2020! Thanks for clicking through to my blog.

The theme this month is to use brand new products from the new 2020 Mini Catalogue - super easy as there is so much inspiration in one catalogue!

I could not decide which suite to use because I wanted to use them all! But I knew I needed a card for my sister's birthday so I decided to use the Parisian Blossoms suite. My sister and her family had a trip to Europe last year and visited Paris so I knew she would love all the elements on this card!

The Parisain Blossoms designer series paper (DSP) is soooo pretty - it has gorgeous champagne foil accents throughout and the images are beautiful. It is the kind of paper you just want to touch and admire.

I used pool party as my base card, layered with a strip of the gorgeous DSP then I added some die cut elements - the swirl in pool party and the Eiffel Tower in silver foil (as I don't appear to have any champagne foil - shock horror!) The sentiment is stamped in pool party.

Don't miss getting your hands on this suite, it's truly breathtaking!
