Social Stamping by My Papercraft Journey Blog Host

Today is a blog post with a difference. It is actually a blog host - hosted by my sweet friend Kelly Kent. The idea is for everyone to blog a card/project with the theme of Hello - a great way to check in with friends and make sure we are all ok in this crazy world.

Hello Friend! How are you?

This is a fun and fast card, inspired by Brian King. I love this Tropical Oasis DSP - it is so fun and cheerful.

The sentiment is from the Seriously the Best stamp set which I have embossed in black to make it really stand out. Behind it is a circle layer of vellum.

A strip of black cardstock and a strip of ribbon and the card was done! I am planning on making a heap of these types of cards to share with friends and neighbours while we are all going through this terrible crisis. I want to let people know they are not alone and that someone is thinking of them and sending hugs from a safe distance.

Why not head over to Kelly's blog for the full list of participants

  2. My first instinct is always to heat emboss in white, but I'm running to get my black out after seeing this - I love it! And also that vellum layer. So simple, but so effective. Thank you for joining the #socialstamping Kelly x

    1. thank you Kelly for organising this - it feels so good to spread some love and cheer around. And yes give the black embossing a go - great for images like this where you want it to be nice and bold.
