Warm Wishes / Poinsettia Petals

I am so in love with the Poinsettia Bundle - I can see me using it for all my Christmas projects this year. Change up the colours, stamp the flowers, die cut the flowers layer them up - the list goes on and on! It is a must have in my opinion and one I wont be in a hurry to stop using.

This card was one of our class projects, I love blue, silver and white for Christmas.

We stamped the balmy blue base with one of the berry stamps using versamark ink. The versamark gives a really soft image filling some of the blank spaces but not overpowering the card.

We stamped all 3 of the poinsettia flowers in misty moonlight ink then die cut them. They are layered together with a dimensional in between each layer to give the flower some height. Also in the dies are the little stamen and leaf/branch elements which we die cut with silver foil.

The speckled finish on the white panel is done using a blends pen and gently flicking it on the lid of the pen to get the splatter look, again a great filler for black spaces and also a great option for masking any little smudges :)

The sentiment also comes from the same stamp set - told you it was a must have bundle!!

Team Gifts - You're just so Fabulous!

The perfect sentiment for my team 'you're just so fabulous' - they are all super fabulous and have kicked some pretty major goals in the last few months. I wanted to recognise their achievements so I sent them a little surprise in the mail.

First is the card made with the Peony DSP - this style of card is called the scrappy technique - basically a fantastic way to use up your scraps of dsp. You glue randomly strips of dsp onto a cardstock base (whisper white in this case) then trim to size. I cut mine with the stitched rectangle dies to get a nice edge to the panel.

Because the dsp panel is the star of the show I kept the rest of the card simple, adding the prefect sentiment and some bling.

And of course I had to co ordinate the gift to match! I used the same colours and focused on the peony flower on the tag topper. I love the Celebration Labels dies, they make tag toppers so quick and easy - and pretty too!

So much fun to make and send -  I just love to spoil my team x

A cup of thanks - Press On

Aren't these coffee cups the sweetest? I love seeing them all in a row and you can colour them any way you like to create your own custom cups. This card was designed by Dena Rekow at The Creativity Cave. I love the pop of magenta madness. I would probably not thought to use such a bright colour but I love it!

The card is pretty straight forward. I stamped the beans and sentiment in magenta madness ink onto the cardstock. The coffee cups are one stamp and I coloured the coffee cups in ransom coloours with mt stampin blends, adding a shadow of crumb cake at the base to try and ground the image. I love hoe its fits perfectly into the stiched rectangle - they were made for each other dont you think?

The texture of the ribbon is lovely, and rather than a bow I tied it into a simple knot.

Hope your day is full of perks!

I love this sweet coffee cup! And paired with this DSP with all the rich brown hues that remind me of coffee. I  originally saw this card on Pinterest but cannot find the creator to give credit to sorry.

The card base is early espresso, then a layer of mint macaron and the gilded autumn dsp. The coffee cup is coloured with mint macaron and cinnamon cider blends. I then added a sweet little heart and a pop of bling. The sentiment is stamped on mint macaron. Then I added a simple knot with the cinnamon cider ribbon.

Peace on Earth - Feels Like Frost DSP

Hello all! Today I have an elegant Christmas card to share with you.

I have used the Feels Like Frost DSP here, it is beautiful paper - photographic images on one side and silver foil and white on the other.

I embossed the DSP with the Evergreen Forest embossing folder to give it real texture and depth. It is then layered onto a night of navy cardstock base. I wanted to keep the sentiment simple and small so the DSP was on full show! This sentiment comes from the Wrapped in Christmas stamp set.

This style would be great for making multiples of - simple and easy to make but they still have that wow factor. Why not try it yourself?

Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #22

Hello! It's the 14th of the month so that means it is time for our monthly Stampers Anonymous Team blog hop - we are up to number 22 already! Gosh that's gone fast!

This month is a sketch challenge! I love these challenges as they make you think outside the box and come up with something that perhaps you would not normally choose.

And after quite a few attempts and changes of stamp sets this is what I came up with!

I haven't given this stamp set enough love so I decided to have a play and see what I could create. The bubbles stamp makes a great background so I stamped those in bermuda bay and gorgeous grape ink.
I also stamped these onto a white circle for the focal piece.

I love the silver edges ribbon - which actually comes white. I coloured it with my blends - then I know I have perfectly matched ribbon every time!

I used the butterfly gala stamp set for the butterfly (and the sentiment) and punched it out with the butterfly duet punch. Then I coated it with wink of stella for some shimmer.

I finished off the card by flicking some highland heather ink and adding some rhinestones then layered  the panels and I was done!

I actually think I need to make some more of these cards to send to friends who are doing it touch at the moment to let them know I care.

Hop on over to Kylie's blog to see what she has created.
