But firstly, this is a graphic of all of us! It is so great to see where we all live. Stampin' Up! and of course the internet have made it so easy to met like minded people from all over the world.
And here is my 3D project. I recreated a box originally made by Sam Donald (Pootles) called a fold over box . I loved the design and knew I wanted to make some small treat boxes for my class ladies and use the Butterfly Bundle - and so this box was born!
I love making 3D projects and am known to scour the shops for treats sized just right for my little creations. I always put one out for my customers when they come to class.
I love to mix black and white with a pop of colour, and bermuda bay is one of my favourites. I used the True Love DSP for my box - you can get 2 of these boxes from one sheet of 12x12 paper so they are quite economical and rather roomy too!
See that embossing on the bermuda bay panel? That is one of the dies from the Butterfly dies that I have used randomly over the panel. It is quick and easy with the embossing machine and I love the textured effect.
After making a range of different butterfly combinations I settled on the black and vellum for the box. But I had a leftover bermuda bay butterfly that was begging to be used so I made a quick card to coordinate.
I have used frosted droplets for the butterfly's body for some added bling.
Why not try one of these boxes yourself? They are easy to make and fun to gift.
