Hydrangea Haven - to an incredible woman

I just love this card we made in class this week - the Hydrangea papers do all the work here, I have stamped the flower and stem then added the die cut flower. A circle of the mercury glass acetate adds a bit of sheen and texture. I love the highland heather and granny apple green together.

Happy Birthday - You are Amazing

Hello everyone, you might have missed this stamp set as you flicked through the mini catalogue as it is a co-ordinating stamp set to the You Are Amazing project kit (page 7)

But you can purchase it on it's own, which I highly recommend as it is a fabulous set to have in your collection. Also great for those masculine cards that need a big, bold sentiment.

This is a card we made in class quite a while back and I know it was an idea I got from Pinterest as I too had overlooked this stamp set for its big, bold sentiments. And I just love the puppies. I am so glad they ae carrying over to the new catalogue.

Game On birthday card

Today I have a fun card that I made for my teenage nephew’s birthday. I love this set and the sentiment too. Sadly this stamp set is retiring at the end of this month. This one is a keeper in my books and I dont think I will be getting rid of it anytime soon!

The card is quite simple, I stamped the chess pieces randomly over the balmy blue cardstock in misty moonlight ink then layered onto misty moonlight cardstock and onto a balmy blue card base.

I then stamped the chess pieces again into a white stitched shape square and did the same with the sentiment and the oval stitched die.

Being a male card I refrained from adding bling or wink of Stella :)

Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop - Monochrome Rainbow Challenge

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog today for the Around the World on Wednesday blog hop - and what a fun event we have for you today. A monochrome Rainbow Challenge!

As per the above chart, I fall into the green category which I was happy about! I needed to make a card for my teenage nephew so I decided to combine the two projects and this is the card I created.

I used a real mix of products on this card, not intentionally, but I just used what I had on my desk at the time in between my classes as I had left making the card until the last minute!

The base card is pear pizzazz layered with a piece of pear pizzazz embossed with the stitched leaves dies. Then I added layers of papers - bermuda bay cardstock, subtles dsp and ice cream corner dsp. The circle die is from the painted labels dies and was die cut in soft sea foam cardstock.

The sentiment comes from the In Bloom stamp set then due cut using one of the dies from the Tasteful Labels dies.

Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop - April 2021

Hello everyone an welcome to another Stamping Inkspirations blog hop. This month's theme is Birthdays - what fun!

This month I ended up with a few projects to share with you so I had to narrow it down to just one. The reason I had so many to share was that I got a bit carried away colouring in these gorgeous papers and could not stop! So this is the paper that keeps on giving as I now have one sheet of DSP coloured in a range of blends colours ready to make a heap more of this style of card - and have loads of birthday cards ready to send.

This paper is called True Love and is a stunning mix of black and white papers that are stunning on their own or you can choose to colour them as I have here with blends (highland heather and granny apple green) or you could use blending brushes, watercolour pencils, ink etc.

I find colouring with blends very relaxing and a great way to get my creative juices flowing again if I am in a bit of a creative rut.

I then cut the flowers out with my ever faithful paper snips, added some bling and a handful of stampin dimensionals to add it to the card base. I am pretty sure this layout was not my original idea and was a pinterest find but now of course I cannot seem to find it again!

Make sure you give this paper a try, it really is a classic.
