Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop - Theme Challenge

Hi everyone and welcome to another Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. This month's theme is Never Grow Up.

My Daughter just lost a sweet friend and I wanted to make a sympathy card for her. This girl was only 20, so it's been really hard to process. This challenge was very timely for me as it fits the theme of never growing older.

The family wanted everyone to wear pink and celebrate her life so my card reflects that. I loved being able to use the Night of Flight hostess set to create a heap of butterflies to send up with her. Sympathy cards can be so hard to make but they seem to be the ones that make the biggest impact on our hearts. And i found it quite therapeutic to sit and reflect whilst I created the card.

I used Berry Burst to stamp two of the images randomly then added Bubble Bath wo the wings with the extra images in the stamp set. I flicked the background with Berry Burst blends and Wink of Stella. I then added some flat pearls. The sentiment comes from the Seaside Bay stamp set. I added some silver thread behind it for a bit of interest.

Here is a close up to show the added speckles.

Rest in peace sweet Holly.
